What this belt is

A new aftermarket drive V-belt for the Frontier GM1060E grooming/finish mower, built to replace John Deere Frontier OEM number 5BP0008670. It is a BX-section cogged (V-notched) belt with a 5/8 in (17 mm) top width and a 115 in (2921 mm) outside length, which matches the industry BX112 size. Frontier is John Deere's branded implement line, sold and serviced through John Deere dealers, so this belt is bought under both the John Deere and Frontier names.

Fitment

This is the single drive belt that runs from the gearbox to the deck on the 60 in Frontier GM1060E grooming mower. It is the correct length for the 60 in deck only. The 48 in and 72 in models in the series use shorter and longer belts, so do not assume one belt covers every deck width.

Why the cogged design matters

The notched underside lets the belt wrap the deck idler and small gearbox pulley without overheating or cracking, which is what fails a plain wrapped belt on a finish mower. A fresh belt restores full blade speed and an even, clean cut.

Before you order

Confirm your mower is the GM1060E (60 in deck) and check the belt routing in your operator manual. If your old belt is slipping, glazed, cracked or stretched, replace it and inspect the idler and spring tensioner at the same time.
