This hydrostatic transmission filter (also called a hydro or hydraulic transmission filter) keeps the hydraulic fluid clean in the hydrostatic drive systems found on zero-turn and walk-behind mowers. Replacing this filter on a regular service schedule helps protect pumps, motors, and other hydrostatic components from wear caused by contaminated fluid. This is the Stens 120-372 replacement, which directly replaces Scag OEM part 48462-01.
